Ali Mehedi is a New York City–based stand-up comedian whose absurdist, cerebral comedy explores immigrant identity, culture, and modern life with sharp insight and edge. Raised in Bangladesh and shaped by life across Canada and the U.S., Ali brings a global perspective that blends irreverence with thoughtfulness.
He has been featured at the New York Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Halifax Comedy Festival (CBC Canada), and Asian Comedy Festival, and has toured internationally with his special Made in Bangladesh. Ali regularly performs at Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Village Comedy Club.
He is the founder and producer of Laughing Lassi, New York City’s leading South Asian stand-up comedy platform, and hosts the podcast Unsupervised, exploring immigrant life, identity, and absurdity.
